On behalf of the administration, teachers and support staff at Coral Way Bilingual K-8 Center, I welcome you to our school for the 2009-2010 school year. I look forward to an exciting year full of positive and rewarding learning experiences for your child. This year, we will be opening the doors to two new buildings and a state of the art Media Center that will service our students, teachers and community with a variety of books in both English and Spanish and updated technology for learning opportunities for the students. Also, phase II of our expansion project will be completed and Coral Way will unveil the athletic facilities in January 2010. I want to thank everyone for their patience and understanding during this expansion project.
Our theme for the 2009-2010 school year is “CWK - Commitment to Wisdom and Knowledge”
I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate our students, teachers and the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) for earning an “A” Letter Grade from the Department of Education for the eighth year in a row. WHAT AN ACCOMPLISHMENT! This is further proof that the Coral Way community is committed to the success of all children. I look forward to continuing the outstanding academic and multi-cultural traditions of this school. It is the mission of Coral Way Bilingual K-8 Center to establish an environment that will instill self-esteem, respect and discipline in our school. This commitment to excellence will help provide an academic and multicultural program that will develop students who will be bilingual and bi-cultural.
Please browse through our web page and see all of the wonderful activities and events that are taking place in our school. I look forward to maintaining and improving the educational excellence of the school and working with all of you to create an environment where children are encouraged to imagine greatness and provided the skills to achieve it.
Welcome to our school and have a great year!!
