Dear Students and Parents:
On behalf of our faculty and staff, allow me to welcome you to Miami Coral Park Senior High School for the 2007-2008 school year.
As was the case one year ago, Miami Coral Park Senior High School has established four new academies as part of the Miami-Dade County Public Schools’ district initiative to reform secondary education. Students will have the opportunity to choose participation in four distinct academies which include Visual and Performing Arts, Engineering and Construction, Business, and Liberal Studies.
Students and parents will find a challenging diversity in our academic programs, extra-curricular activities, and use of technology in the classroom. The school's twenty-seven Advanced Placement programs have been widely recognized consecutively by the College Board during the past several years and hold distinction among the best in the Miami-Dade district. The school's academic prestige has paved the way for our graduates to find acceptance at the finest universities and post-secondary programs in America.
As principal of one of most outstanding senior high school in the district, students and their parents can be assured that Miami Coral Park Senior High School will always place a great emphasis upon student achievement, academic rigor, attendance and accountability. Consistent with these efforts, our school continues to show a marked improvement over each prior year’s student attendance data. Additionally, the school enforces a School Board approved mandatory school uniform policy which requires that students wear an authorized Miami Coral Park Senior High School uniform.
Miami Coral Park Senior High School’s motto is "Right Attitude Means Success!" Our tradition and goal is to enable all RAMS to achieve their full potential and become responsible, competitive, and productive adults upon completion of their high school education. Undoubtedly, with a positive attitude, each and every Miami Coral Park Senior High School student will be academically and socially enriched throughout their high school experience. I am proud to celebrate our school's rich legacy and accomplishments and look forward to a very productive 2007-2008 school year.
With kindest personal regards, I remain,
Respectfully,
DR. NICHOLAS P. JACANGELO, Principal |
